Inconel Foam Heat Exchanger
ERG has an extensive history with R&D efforts for alternative Duocel® foam materials, including several types of metals.
Below are some nonstandard, non-production foams that could be considered as part of a development effort:
• Brass
• Inconel
• Nickel
• Steel
• Tin
• Zinc
Plating can be applied to enhance or augment the properties of standard Aluminum, Copper, or Carbon foams as an alternative to developing a new base material foam.
For example, nickel-plating is commonly used to improve corrosion resistance of aluminum foam, and gold-plated aluminum foam is a more cost-effective option than completely gold foam.
