Impressive Open-Celled Rigid Foam Being Demonstrated at Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space 2023
Sparks, NV – ERG Materials and Aerospace is exhibiting at Sea Air Space 2023 in the Washington, D.C. area April 3-5, 2023. Company representatives will show samples and demonstrate aerospace products utilizing Duocel® foam material–a lightweight, rigid, and customizable open cell foam material with solid ligaments.
This will all take place in booth 256 and it’s a great opportunity for manufacturers and researchers to experience firsthand how open cell foam can solve difficult problems in the aerospace industry.
ERG is the sole manufacturer of Duocel® foam. The patented light-weight material is used in a variety of applications ranging from high efficiency air-oil separators to flame arrestors and ultra efficient heat exchangers.
Duocel® foam features high surface area to volume ratios, making it exceptional for applications requiring high performance in small design envelopes. Duocel® also has a high strength to weight ratio, resulting in a lightweight structure with superior impact protection. This patented metal, carbon, and ceramic material offer solutions not available with traditional technologies.
ERG has a team of experienced engineers to design custom foam-based products. Knowledgeable engineers can help optimize the proper foam specification and other project decisions customers may not be experienced with, ultimately reducing design and development time. Two production facilities in the United States offer the capability to deliver finished products directly to the customer.
Duocel® foam is available in a variety of raw materials including metal, carbon and ceramics.
If you can’t make it to the show, you can view a variety of ERG’s foam applications, along with engineering and production capabilities anytime on their website: https://ergaerospace.com/
